Located in Greeley’s impoverished northeast side, Island Grove Village Apartments (IGV) is a Housing and Urban Development Section 8 multi-family, low-income housing complex, serving as a home and a true community to nearly 300 residents, 98 percent of whom are Hispanic. 

Recipient of numerous local, state, national, and housing industry awards since construction was completed in 1972, IGV has a long and proud history of involvement in and commitment to the surrounding community.  Whether it’s our award-winning free community computer lab or our onsite Head Start program, our role as a leader in neighborhood coalition-building or our bustling range of year-round activities, IGV has nurtured numerous partnerships in our neighborhood and throughout our city.  But perhaps more important to us, we have enjoyed being a partner to the many associations and organizations that are succeeding in their own efforts to enrich our often-troubled community.
