The Kaleidoscope Youth Program (KYP) is a laugh-a-minute, million-miles-an-hour, gotta-be-there, after-school literacy program that encourages kids to talk, sing, dance, dream, play, experiment, think, draw, and explore.  An innovative year-round literacy program, KYP challenges, entertains, and educates Island Grove Village Apartments and area youth in an exciting, fast-paced environment that seems more like fun than actual reading, writing, or math.

And we know what we're talking about.  During June and July of 2005 and 2006, we tried out some of our ideas: an all-volunteer-taught program, only one paid staff member, opening classes to the community, sneaking in a bit of learning in and around the fun.

You can see the results of our efforts: KYP 2005, KYP 2006, and
KYP 2007.

Trinity Housing Corporation of Greeley, our nonprofit Board of Directors, funded KYP 2006, as well as a pilot after-school version to be held in the fall of 2006.  We currently are seeking grants to fund this year-round program.
